BY THE WEDLEY TEAM · PRACTICAL PLANNING GUIDANCE
Start with the essential facts.
Show who is getting married, the date, the location and which events the household is invited to. Keep these facts as readable text even if your invitation uses an uploaded card.
If the details are not settled, label a preview honestly. Do not present a season as an exact calendar date.
Ask for an answer from every named guest.
Make attending and declining equally clear. Request only the meal or dietary information you need, and explain how guests can correct a mistake or contact you.
Set a reply deadline based on your venue and caterer’s requirements, leaving time to follow up. There is no single deadline that fits every wedding.
Preview, publish, then share.
Check each household’s names and events. Review the invitation on a phone, test the real guest journey with an appropriate test household and distinguish a private preview from a published invitation.
In Wedley, Complete is needed for live guest links and replies. Publishing does not automatically email your guests, and direct email delivery is currently disabled in production.
